Hi all. I talked with Dedra a few minutes ago and she and Haden were doing fine. Dedra is tired and I can hear that in her voice, but I think she is hanging in there. Haden is doing better, however, he is still not eating so he is being kept on an IV. We will continue to watch him to determine when they might get a chance to leave the clinic.
Hanna and I went to church today and I feel that I had a word from God in our service. Our pastor Jake today reminded us that God is big enough even when we are not. He also reminded us that when we feel our most lonely moments he is here with us leading us and placing us right where we need to be. We need to remember that in this situation when it is resolved that it was " the Lord God who brought us out." God has brought us to this point and I will praise him what ever the results!
I am in the process of working out the details for Hanna this week. I want to thank all of our friends here in North Carolina who have called and offered help with her. I will do my best to work this out to where she is able to spend some time with each of you, and also spend some time with me. We did get Penny home today and our luggage has been delivered, so we are putting the puzzle back together piece by piece.
I know there are alot of you praying for my family, THANK YOU!

The original purpose of your journey was to bring home the son God had for you. It's funny how many journeys in life start out with one intent and along the way His presence works in many lives in other ways.
Because of your journey I know I have renewed my faith and trust in Him-and I have let go and genuinely asked that His will be done in the lives of your family. I bet many of us have spent more time in prayer and Bible reading in the past 2 weeks...because we truly wanted to become closer to Him in order to intercede for you all.
Thank you for sharing your journey so that I might have a renewal of spirit and faithfulness. When all 4 of you are reunited may all of us be aware of the other needs around us and continue this closer walk with Him.
And God's people said "AMEN"...
Love and Godspeed
Betsey
To the Awesome Hicks Family,
Had to step away yesterday to do the Elvis Party in Port Aransas. Had fun as always but the nap today was incredible.
Praise the Lord that Dedra and Haden are doing better. Am so glad that you both are so strong and so faithful. Babies are amazing and their little bodies are so much stronger than we can even imagine. I know how tired you both must be but also know that God will renew your strength and give you the stamina to soon be on your way home.
It was so nice to hear that you and Hanna made it safely all the way home and that your luggage and Penny have reconnected with you. Only if I were closer to help out with Hanna with this week. I'd be there in a heartbeat if I could. Hanna, you have been an amazing big sister and incredible daughter through this journey so far. I know you will continue to help Daddy through the coming days until Mom and Haden are safely home. We are all praying for your family and we trust in God to hold you in His hands fully knowing that He will protect you all now and forever. Just believe.
And to you Dedra, I love you so much and am so proud of you. You are so strong and so beautiful and God knew that Haden needed an incredible Mother and Family to provide love and care for all his life. I just can't wait to cuddle him and love him and squeeze him to pieces.
Just think, Haden will get to meet his entire Ousley family all the same time. Overwhelming thought, right? But all in due time. That picture of PawPaw and Haden is going to be a real treasure.
Ever abundant prayers of healing, guiding and thanks are with you all.
I love you all,
Aunt/Graunty Vivi
Here's what I know for sure: Mango, Grandma Florine and Simmy are watching their amazing great granddaughter/granddaughter/daughter and fighting over who she is the most like!!! She's just like me, no she got that from me, uh uh, that's from me for sure! Whoever, whatever and wherever Dedra gets her strength and faith from, well God bless us all! Haden is going to have an acceptional family when he gets here and settled. Tell him that his cousin Max has pneumonia right now too! He had to go to the emergency room with a high fever and have shots and meds and breathing treatments! Everyone will be fine, I know it!
I just want to say that seeing Jeff walk into church this morning was such a blessing, and seeing Dedra and that beautiful baby Haden will be even greater. I am praying for Haden to soon get better and for a safe flight home. That day can't come soon enough.
Missing you so much,
Love,
Jamey
