Travel Day Has Arrived!
Can you remember what it was like to lay in bed on Christmas Eve waiting for morning to come? That was the night that we had last night. We all ran around packing and organizing, charging batteries, planning everything we could down to the last detail. Dedra made and list and has checked it many more times than twice. Six suitcases, three backpacks, a diaper bag, a webkin, and a pillow. I think it is all here. We even packed a suitcase with food items so that if it gets too bad we can ration some Dedra snacks. (Jim and Allison) I think we can make it about six days off what she has packed.
Some of you have called and asked for a itenerary for the trip. We really don't have anything that is set in stone, but here is what we do know:
- We leave today@ 6pm for LAX. We have 4 hours there and will leave sometime around midnight for our second leg.
- The second leg is from LAX to Hong Kong. It is a 14 hour flight and that with a time change puts us in Hong Kong sometime early Sunday.
- We leave Hong Kong and fly 2 hours to Hanoi, and will arrive in Hanoi on Sunday @3 pm.
Then we will wait until they tell us what to do next. It looks now like we will not get Haden until Tuesday. Pray that God will continue to provide us with patience. I am trying to just keep a smile on my face and not let the distractions take me off the course that God has set for me. I will try to keep this updated daily with pictures and information. I appreciate each of you who has been able to post comments for our family on this new technology. We can all struggle together to learn how it operates, and it is awesome to read your thoughts and comments.

Is a webkin something like webcam? Are you sure you haven't exceeded your weight limitations on that luggage?
i think that what you are doing is incrediable. always remember what aunt vivi said "FLY ON ANGELS WINGS" well im plenty sure that you will and that you will be safe.
Well we are missing you already. I know last night had to be nerve racking because I'm not even going and it is driving me crazy. I know with all the food Dedra packed, poptarts I'm sure, atleast you won't go hungry. Saying many prayers for you and please keep us updated.

We are excited too! At least we can all be with you via the miracle of technology.
Hanna we found about a dozen different webkinzs today....there will be another one for you when you return. Is there a certain one you have been wanting...just let us know. Of course Kayla did her work on Poppy and she got another one.

Wow, to think at this moment your on an airplane and have just started your journey!! We wanted to call you all before you left, but we knew how crazy things were for you. We are really glad that the time has finally come for you all to go get Haden and bring him home. We will continue to keep you in our prayers and will miss you all very much. Tell Hanna to take care of the two of you because we know she is probably the only one thinking straight right now. Love you guys and can't wait to see you in a few weeks.

As we write you are on your way to Hong Kong. It was a restless night waking periodically to pray for safety. It is now sometime Saturday night in Hong Kong and we trust you are sleeping peacefully on the plane. We visited a resort in Danang online. It was beautiful. We hope you're staying there. Thanks to the Greers for letting us know what a webkinz is. Love & Prayers...

Well it is 1:45 here and I have just now found the time to write a little. We had a very stormy day and night here in Grandview. Was a long night between the weather and praying you are okay in your adventure. About every 2 hrs I woke up. I know the Lord is taking care of you but as a parent you just worry. I hope Hanna is felling better. Tell her Poppy is much better, I don't guess it was the flue, or I killed it out with my Clorax spray disfect. spray.haha Just we lived closer to you so we could be around yo9u,Jeff and the grand children more to watch them grow and prosper. Hanna I kept looking at the pictures that Daddy put up and thought You looked diffrent.I was right.I enlarged the photos and there it was, no top front teeth.When did you lose them.It seems like it was just yesterday that you lost one of your lowers on Grandmas deck.I got to thinking it has been over a year ago.As soon as you see your little brother give him an extra hug and kiss for Poppy and Grandma and tell him we love him so very much as we do you.Have a great trip see you when you get back.
So glad you remembered the Dedra snacks! But I'm sure you'll find some wonderful food there as well. We're so glad you set up this blog. It's so neat seeing the pictures & hearing about your adventures along the way. Miss you!
