Hanna and I are Home!
We had a great travel experience coming home and Hanna did a great job working our way through all the airports. We both had a few tears leaving Haden and Dedra, but God is in charge and he will protect them both. We made it, but our luggage is somewhere in LA. Hanna and I are going to try to stay up the rest of the day. We have talked to Dedra a couple of times and are hopeful that they will be here soon. We are going to pick up Penny after we get clean up and get clean cloths. Keep the prayers for Dedra and Haden!

Praise God...the first part of the journey is successfully completed. Jeff remember which side of the road to drive on...especially going out 68 to Lucky's. I know Penny will be excited to see Hanna.
Let us know if we can do anything for you.
We are so glad you are home and so very proud of how grown-up Hanna has been on this extensive trip.
Continued love and Godspeed to Dedra and Haden

I'm so glad I was able to talk to you this morning. It made me feel a little better knowing that you and Hanna were home and safe. It has been raining her since yeaterday and we have a pool in our yard.
Hanna I want you to know that we are very proud of you for being such a wonderful Big Sister. You have been such an angel to have helped with Haden the way you have. Thank the Lord for bringing you into this world for us to enjoy. You are such an inspiration.
If I get through to your Mommy I will call and let you know.Love you and miss you all.

Welcome Home Jeff and Hanna. We are glad that you all returned safely. We will continue to keep Dedra and Haden in our prayers. We will particularly be praying around 7:00 p.m. tonight as Dedra starts trying to get a ticket out of Hanoi. Kayla is looking forward to seeing Hanna. She said to me the other day, "Mom, I really didn't realize how much you miss someone until they are gone." Please let us know how we can help. We are ready and willing.
Talk to you all soon!
Jennifer

Today has been a long day, waiting for Jeff and Hanna to get home and watching the "ice storm" developments in Texas and Oklahoma. In Houston, Texas we are running our air-conditioners. I think it may cool off tomorrow. Auntie M and Gram prayed for Dedra (Mommy) and Haden all day while we went out to help Aunt Sandy with her moving project. Grampa worked at his office today, but he prayed too. Tomorrow we see Great Granny, she sends her love to all. We'll be happy to hear that the family is back together soon. We love you all.....Gram
Through the valleys of life, God's presence is the strongest. Know He is right there holding you,all 4 of you. Hold to His Faithfulness!
Psalm 40:1-5
I waited patiently for the Lord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust.!!!
Psalm 40:5
Many, O Lord my God are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you;were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare!!!!

Son, I want to take this opportunity to let you know how proud I am of you, Dedra and Hanna for making room in your home and in your hearts for Haden. The difficulties you have all endured are minor when compared to what he might have had to go through if not for your sacrifice. God will bless you richly for this act of love. I am glad that you and Hanna are home and will pray for a quick and easy return for Dedra and Haden.
I love you,
Dad
Jeff I have been trying for the last 15 mins. to call Hanoi. Our long sistance service does not handle interntl. calls so I have to let them transfer me to a longdistance co. that does just to find out that we have to already have service with them or a prepaid card. I have already done this so many times that my fingers are numb. If any one reading this knows of a company that will charge it to a credit card or to windstream to charge us let me know.

Jeff & Hanna - so happy to hear that you are both home safe. Dedra and Haden remain in our prayers. We are wishing them good health and a speedy and safe return home so that the Hick's family can all enjoy some Dr. Pepper together! :-)

You guys are all in my thoughts and prayers and I have sent a prayer request to my church.
I love you,
